重登山品格教育的同濟中學與康寧大學首度共辦山野教育，11位高三生在訓育組長蘇清清、休閒管理系老師楊建夫等人帶領下，將地理教室拉到海拔3000公尺以上山岳，4天攻頂三叉山、向陽山，就地在「天使的眼淚」嘉明湖畔上起台灣冰河遺址一課，研討如何守護國寶蛋形湖景觀。登玉山傳統多年來已是同濟中學基本畢業門檻，學生們從高一就接受登山相關知識訓練，循序至合歡、大尖、二尖等練腳力，同時鍛鍊意志力與判斷力，同儕在登山過程中培養絕佳互助默契和革命情感，成為未來發展重要的的養分和資產，不少學子因此對登山產生莫大興趣。

因理念與康寧大學休閒管理系楊建夫推展的山野教育謀合，雖然不到半年就要大考，學校仍與楊合作開辦嘉明湖登山活動，借重楊建夫冰河研究專才，希望學生們不只「看見台灣」，更能一步一腳印，站在不同高度實地勘查台灣具世界級景觀的冰河地形。周一起11位自願參加的高三生興奮放下課本，帶著等高線地圖和約10公斤重裝備從向陽國家森林遊樂園區入口，沿著山稜線挺進3300公尺廣闊無際森林區，沿途時而細雨飄搖、時而強風吹拂，卻不減青少年們求知熱情。在嚮導和老師們引導下，遼望鄰近山群及雲層氣候變化，4日接連攻頂標高3496、3602公尺的三叉山和向陽山，一見嘉明湖如明鏡映山，凌晨出發的疲憊一掃而空，不禁驚呼「台灣高山湖泊真的好美！」，楊建夫在清朗的湖畔就地和學生談起嘉明湖為冰斗湖還是隕石坑的爭議。師生進一步探討湖區開放與保護，楊強調，目前嘉明湖不屬於台灣六類型保護區，人為破壞年年加劇，原本完整的橢圓蛋形已因邊坡土石沖刷淤塞變形，需要國家更積極的保護措施。(中國時報)，
